ASSESSMENT FOR NEED OF HPYAA
The youth in numerous Metro Detroit areas have a large percentage of students identified as at-risk for academic failure, prison, early death, poverty, and obesity due to personal, family, and community conditions that include unemployment, family instability, and lack of community resources and support.
WHO WE ARE
The Highland Park Youth Advocacy Alliance (HPYAA) is a Highland Park based non-profit organization that was established in 2017 to provide productive out-of-school activities to positively impact the youth of Metro-Detroit by providing necessary resources and programs to instill values and skills that are essential to youth development.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of HPYAA is to develop a collaborative network of organizations to nurture and develop the mind, spirit, and ultimate condition of youths ages 8-24 through out-of-school activities to encourage and motivate them to become accountable and responsible citizens that exemplify dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and integrity.
